Baptism This Sabbath
Meaghan Quilop will be baptized this Sabbath. Meg and her husband, Greg, have been attending The Place for some time and are active in Praise and Worship and Creative Worship. We are so excited to welcome her into our church family and we look forward to welcoming her friends and family who will be attending this Sabbath to witness her continuing commitment to God.
Gardens Of The World-Cancelled
Our next social which is due to take place this Sabbath has been cancelled due to rainy weather. But, for those of you who planned on attending, know that we plan on meeting for lunch at a nearby restaurant after church. Please stay tuned for more details this Sabbath and we look forward to fellowshipping with you.
The Place Is Moving...Soon!
Effective April 1st, The Place Fellowship will be moving to The Vineyard Community Church located at (right around the corner) 2397 Lavery Court, Suite #17. We look forward to the larger facilities, and the monthly luncheons in our new fellowship hall. We will keep all of you informed as we get closer to moving day, but we invite you all to keep this move in your prayers.

Mission Project
We are exploring the possibility of doing a mission project in Mexico in June and a Maranatha project overseas later this year, possibly in Peru. We would like to know who is interested before committing to the projects. There will be a sign-up sheet this Sabbath for people who are potentially interested. This is not a final commitment, merely an indication of your interest! We are excited about the possibilities for mission and to see God working in us and through us.
Calling All Wild At Heart Men
Pastor Simon is inviting all of the men out there who are interested in doing something active (i.e. playing football and/or basketball) to meet next Sunday, February 27th starting at 10 a.m. at the park on Wendy Drive. (Directions will be available next week.) There will be a time of prayer and sharing followed by a time of loud, boisterous, hair raising sporting fun, concluding with lunch out for all those interested. Please contact Pastor Simon at (805) 498-2300 or at simonliversidge@hotmail.com if you are wild at heart (interested). If you have ideas, let's talk!
