Peru Mission Trip
The Place has committed itself to a wonderful building project this summer in Puerto Maldonado, Peru. This project is coordinated through Maranatha International. The group is leaving on July 26th and returning on August 8th. We have already made our group reservations. However, there are still a couple of spots available. We are love for you to come if the Spirit moves you to partake of this incredible experience, but we can not guarantee flight availability or cost of ticket after the group reservation is full.
We would also like your support through prayer and if possible, through your donations. You may donate to The Place and mark your gift as Peru Trip. If you have any questions, please contact Pastor Simon at 805-498-2300 or by clicking on to the link provided below.

Children's and Mom's Ministry
Beginning on May 21st, we will be having a monthly Children's Church. This will be a special time for our tots as we share about Christ through the Veggietales curriculum. Children's church will normally be held the 2nd Sababth of every month. Some of the leaders are Jenn Lew, Heather Richmund, and Cecilia Liversidge. However, we need YOUR help to make this a truly wonderful experience for the little ones. If you are interested in helping lead, plan, be in the background, do crafts, music or help in any way, please contact Pastor Simon or Heather Richmund or Jen Lew. Children's Church will meet during the adult service in our new youth chapel.
Also, we need another teacher for our Primary/Junior class. If you have a passion for kids and are willing to lead out once a month, please contact Pastor Simon or Jeremy Bachmann @ 805-494-9343.
We have also started a Placer Mommy ministry. This ministry meets once a week (Wednesdays) to do something fun and to fellowship together. Heather Richmund is the contact and this month's activities are:
Wednesday April 20th: Afternoon at the Park.
Wednesday April 27th: Mommies night out to Allegria Restaurant in Malibu.

Financial Update, March 2005.
We are one-fourth of the way through our fiscal year and want to update you all about our church finances. In March we received giving towards tithe of $12,322. This puts us slightly ahead of last year at this time. Just a reminder that the tithe goes directly to our local conference. It does not pay any of the expenses of our local church. We appreciate your faithful giving to our worldwide church.
Our giving towards our local church budget in March was $5,787. Our monthly budget for our local expenses is about $8,700. Of this, the primary expenses are our rent for our new church; educational subsidies of our local schools, CAES and NPAA; and for our programs here at The Place. Please remember to bless our local church as well when you plan your monthly giving. As part of our church family, we appreciate your support of our church. It blesses all of us when we each contribute to build up our church body financially. As a reminder, you may contribute at The Place or online by clicking on the link.
