This Week At The Place
This Sabbath Pastor Simon will continue his series on relationships. This week's sermon is the seventh in his series on relationships and is titled "Atrocious Math". It will focus on forgiveness and grace.

Elder Rob Randall will be leading out in the adult Sabbath School that meets at 10:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary. They are exploring the book of Acts.

Pastor Simon will be leading out in the Discipleship Training class at 10:30 a.m. The Discipleship class is going over the book, The Life You've Always Wanted written by John Ortberg. This week the class will be going over chapter 7, which focuses on servanthood.

A reminder that you may pick up your copy of the church officers list in the lobby this Sabbath. And- we are ALWAYS looking for more people to join an ongoing ministry or to start other ministries.

Spa De La Paz is just around the corner!!! This Sunday, July 24th ALL mommies are cordially invited to come to the Ramirez home for an afternoon of utter pampering. There will be food and your choice of massage, manicures, pedicures, etc. or you may simply lay out by the pool and RELAX! The spa will open at 10 a.m. with a devotional time followed by a wonderful time of fellowship. Lunch will be catered at 12 noon, please don't forget to bring cash for your lunch ($15) plus cash for your services and tip. Financial Update-June 2005
During June we recieved tithe of $14,726...this brings our total for the year to date to $74,365. We are being blessed.
The total giving to our local church budget was $6344 in June. Our year to date total is $44,604. We appreciate your support, but we fell a few thousand dollars short as our local budget for each month is 9,011 dollars. Year to date our church budget is $52,749, so we are currently reaching about 85% of our local church budget needs. We need your continued support and faithfulness in giving. Please continue to support your local church, THE PLACE! A reminder that you may return your tithes and offerings at church or on-line by clicking here. We appreciate your faithful support of the ministry of The Place!

Peru Mission Trip
Next Tuesday evening, July 26th, all volunteers for the Peru mission trip will be departing. There is much excitement as a group of 32 prepare to embark on a very special trip that will be a tremendous blessing for so many people. The group will be flying to Peru to build a community evangelism center, including a church. We ask for your prayers as these men and women travel, work, and fellowship together abroad.

Church Picnic and Barn Painting (2 Sundays in August!)
We will be having our annual church picnic on Sunday afternoon, August 21st. We hope that you'll make a point of joining us for an afternoon of food and fun under the sun. There will be a sign-up sheet for food items in the lobby this Sabbath. Please help us get started on our planning by signing up to bring something this week.
Also, if you like horses or just helping kids, then we would love your help in painting a barn at Ventura Farms in Hidden Valley on Sunday, August 14th. 15-Hands Rescue Sanctuary gives underpriveleged kids an opportunity to ride and interact with horses. They need our help! We'll start painting around 8 am. and should be done by noon (or earlier if more people help!) For info or to reserve a spot, contact Alicia Adams at alicia@puconline.org or 805-573-0848.
