The Scoop at The Place - November 4, 2005

This Week At The Place
This Sabbath Pastor Simon will be preaching at The Place. He continues his series which focuses on Falling In Love With Jesus. This week is the eighth in his series and is titled "Graceful Living." We also have a new Daily Reading Plan to follow along with the series. Pick up your copy this Sabbath.

You may also click onto the daily reading plan from our website, or you may listen to the sermons on-line (we even podcast!!) Check out all the new stuff at www.theplacechurch.com.

Elder Rob Randall will be leading out in the adult Sabbath School that meets at 10:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary. They are exploring the book of Acts.

There are also Sabbath School classes available for all ages. Sabbath school starts at 10:30 a.m. at "The Little Place"...stop by and be blessed!

During the next eight weeks, there will not be a Discipleship Sabbath School class. Instead there will be a training class in giving personal bible studies held in the chapel behind the youth room. This class began five weeks ago and has been a real blessing for so many people. There are also Discipleship training classes available on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.

And-a reminder that your tithes and offerings are always a blessing. You may return your tithes and offerings to The Place or on-line by clicking on the link provided.

Children's Church & Monthly Food Drive-Next Sabbath
Next Sabbath we will be having our monthly Children's Church. The second Sabbath of every month is a special time for the little ones as they get to enjoy a wonderful time of praise, crafts, stories and snacks during church. Please bring your son or daughter to Children's Church next Sabbath (located in the Fellowship Hall) starting at 11:30 a.m.

So many of us are so thankful for all the blessings we have - family, friends, church, a home, a job and so much more. This Thanksgiving we can share some of our blessings with our community. This month's food donations will go toward a Thanksgiving dinner, and to provide food for families, seniors, and children in our community. Next Sabbath there will be a box by the door for your food donations.

Prayer Requests

Do you have any prayer requests? Any praises? Please know that the Prayer Team is always available to you and would love to hear what's on your heart! Also, if you have a passion for prayer, we would love to have you sharing in the joy of of this ministry. Please contact Joelle Vessels at processgirl@hotmail.com or Pastor Simon at simonliversidge@hotmail.com.
