This Week At The Place/Sabbath Morning Community Prayer TimeWe look forward to seeing you this Sabbath at The Place. This week Pastor Simon will conclude his series over the book of 1 John, focused on Finding Joy. This week's sermon is titled "Testimony Of Joy," and focuses on 1 John 5. We will also be praying over and sending off our group of missionaries to Tijuana.
Also, this Sabbath, we are having our monthly CHILDREN'S CHURCH. It will meet at 11:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Meg Quilop will be leading out and we invite all our young ones to come and enjoy a great time together in worship and spiritual education.
You are invited to attend a special morning prayer time this coming Sabbath (and EVERY week!) at 9:45 a.m. before Sabbath School. Come join us and pray over our church, and for special needs in the community. Hope to see many of you there!
All Sabbath School classes will meet this week with the exception of the Sanctuary class. Pastor Simon and Bill Werner have concluded this class. Stay tuned for another class like this starting soon. Our Sabbath School classes meet at 10:30 a.m. Rob Randall will be leading the general adult Sabbath school which will begin studying the book of Romans, and, Harley Peterson will be leading out anyone interested in music...in our music Sabbath School.
We also have the "Little Place" with Sabbath School classes for infants and toddlers, kindergarten aged children, earliteen classes, and youth sabbath school. Stop by and be blessed!
Fellowship Luncheon-This Sabbath
We will be having our monthly fellowship luncheon this Sabbath. This month's theme is "picnic luncheon." Some of the food items that we will need are: veggie hot dogs, veggie hamburgers, buns, potato salad, baked beans, salads, fruit, chips, desserts, and drinks. If you decide to bring the hot dogs or burgers, please bring them in a crockpot so they can stay warm for lunch. Please contact April Fowler at (805) 523-8489 as she will be leading out this month.
And-just to celebrate in like style, we will be eating this week's lunch outside on the grass, so please bring blankets, lawn chairs and or umbrellas.

Financial News-June
Yes, it is that time of the month again...the time to praise God! We continue to be blessed as a church family with faithful giving and support of our church and its various ministries. During the month of June, we received $17,319 in tithe, giving us a total for the year of $78,940.
We also received $18,526 in giving to our local church budget, bringing us to a total of $57,036 for the year. That means we are a mere $4,500 behind our church budget for this year! That is a blessing. Thank you so much for your faithful giving.
We also wanted to thank you for your generosity in supporting our mission project to Tijuana. It has been a blessing to many and will be an incredible blessing to the church we are building in Tijuana!
We invite and need your continued support of The Place and its ministry in our community. You may give at The Place or on-line by clicking on the link/
