This Week At The Place
We look forward to seeing you at The Place this Sabbath. This week
Pastor Simon will continue preaching over his new series on
discipleship. This week's sermon is titled "Four Days To See" and
focuses on John chapter 1:19-51. Before the sermon we will be
having a brief time of "show and tell" with Ardis Baker. We ask
that moms or dads ask their children to bring something they would
like to show and tell about. We will also have a musical response
by the Newburians, a special choir from NPAA.
We invite you to Sabbath School this week. Our Sabbath School
classes meet at 10:30 a.m. Rob Randall will be leading the general
adult Sabbath school which is studying the book of Romans.
We also have the "Little Place" with Sabbath School classes for
infants and toddlers, kindergarten aged children, earliteen classes,
and youth sabbath school. Stop by and be blessed!
You are also invited to attend our community prayer time at The
Place every Sabbath before Sabbath School starting at 9:45 a.m. Come
and pray for our church or bring your special needs.
And-we appreciate your faithful giving. You may return your tithes
and offerings at The Place or online by clicking on the link
provided.
Beach Vespers- This Sabbath Afternoon
We will be having our last beach vespers for 2006 this coming
Sabbath afternoon. Please join us at our usual spot in Sycamore
Cove at 5 p.m. Sycamore Cove is 5 miles south of Las Posas Road, on
Pacific Coast Highway. We will be eat, worship, and enjoy a
beautiful sunset together. This is a great opportunity to
fellowship with one another and our God. If you would like to bring
some food to share, please feel free, but you don't need to! But,
please come and invite a friend!
Women's Shelter - This Sunday!
We will be working on the Women's Shelter this coming Sunday
morning. This is a shelter for battered women in the
camarillo/oxnard area. We will be painting and planting and getting
it ready for families to move in! You provide the elbow grease and
they'll provide the food! Meet in the parking lot of The Place (far
end), Sunday at 9 a.m. To volunteer, contact Andrea Harlan
805-551-7636 or at <a

Visitor's Luncheon-This Sabbath
We will be having our monthly visitor's luncheon this coming
Sabbath. All visitors and new members are encouraged to stop by for
lunch and get to know some of the other members of The Place.
Please bring some food to share...we hope to see you there!
This week's luncheon will be held at Rodney & Cindy Andregg's home
but will be hosted by Rodney & Lilian Alves & Ken & Amy Miller. The
Andregg's are located at 132 Cindy Ave in Newbury Park.
Discipleship Class-Last Week to Join
Are you ready for the "adventure of your life". Learn how to be a
disciple of Jesus and get ready to lead an "adventure group" of your
own (if you are willing).
Our new discipleship training classes have begun and we want you to
be a part of it! Please join us this coming Sabbath at 9:45 a.m.
for a 10 week small group led by Pastor Simon that will focus on
spiritual maturity that leads us into the adventure of ministry.

mornings do not work for you then please join us on Wednesday
evenings at 7:30 p.m. for the same class. For more information,
