Don't miss out! Robin Shea will have a special music for us, and Chad Reisser will be leading praise and worship. We will have our Cafe open after church for fellowship as well...so, we invite you to stay and share together.

Placers Dominate
The Placers softball team’s dream season continued with a 22-2 stomping of Have Mercy. Robert Nomelli was in command of the game from his first pitch, bringing his record to a perfect 3-0. Sunday’s game showcased the debut of the Placers’ new prospects, Kitty and Jerry Bokoles. Kitty knocked in her first RBI, while Jerry played a strong right field and scored multiple runs. The Placers could do no wrong at the plate. Andrea Harlan raised her average with another hit, while Bill Werner and Ralph Figueroa hit the ball with such ferocity that they left their opponents begging for mercy. Erik Kalberg even turned a ball smashed all of 2 inches into a hit. Come cheer on the Placers this Sunday at 7:30 at Borchard Park in Newbury Park.
Upcoming Events
This year the annual ACTION Day will be on June 2. ACTION Day is a day when Christians unite together to impact their communities by showing God's love in creative and practical ways. The Place participated last year, with 40+ churches in Ventura County. We helped clean up trails, beaches, fixed a volleyball court for the YMCA and began work on the battered women's shelter that we are still helping with! This year we will also have a variety of projects to participate in. There will be sign up sheets in the lobby on May 5th. If you would like to be a team leader for a certain project or if you know of a need in our community, contact Cindy Schumacher at Cindy6359@msn.com or (805) 579-9557.
And...our annual Hollywood Bowl trip is right around the corner! We would like to have some idea of how many are interested in going. This year's festivities are scheduled for Tuesday night, July 3rd starting at 7:30 p.m. Reserve your place now for the Fourth of July Spectacular. This is a family friendly event with "Riders in the Sky" as the special guests, and of course, the fireworks! The cost is $24 for adults, $12 for kids 12 and under (under 2 are free.) There will be a sign up sheet in the lobby this Sabbath.
