Food Share provides food to over 100,000 individuals in need each year through 150 service agencies throughout Ventura County. No person should go to bed hungry in a county where we’re blessed with so much. Please join in the effort to end hunger and bring your food item donations to church on September 8. Checks made out to FOOD SHARE will also be welcomed.

“When you reap the harvest of your land, do not reap to the very edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest… leave them for the poor and the stranger.” Leviticus 19:9-10

Relay For Life:

Come join our team of walkers as we support the American Cancer Society's annual Relay for Life, right here in Newbury Park. We're excited to be involved with this 24-hour community event this year. This year's walk will be at the Newbury Park High School on Reino Rd. from 10am October 13 to 10am October 14. But you DON'T have to be there all 24 hours! To show you more of what Relay is all about, we will be watching a brief video before the praise service at 11:25 this Sabbath.
We need at least 15 people on our team but there's no limit, so we're always happy for more people to participate. Registration to be a team member costs $15 and our goal is for each team member to raise $100 or more for the Relay. For more information or to sign up, follow this link

(http://www.acsevents.org/relay/ca/conejovalley/theplace) or contact Kevin Emmerson our team captain at theplacerelay4life@gmail.com.
