This Week At The PlaceWe look forward to seeing you at The Place this Sabbath. This Sabbath Pastor Simon will begin a new sermon series on revolutionary living. This week's sermon is titled "What Does Success Look Like?" and will cover the book of 1 Samuel, chapter 16. Chad Reisser will be leading praise and worship. There will also be a children's story given by Jennifer Lew.
We invite you to Sabbath School this week. We have children's Sabbath Schools for all ages, including our cradle roll, kindergarten, primary, junior/earliteen, and youth Sabbath school classes that meet at 10:30 a.m.
Elder Rob Randall will be leading the adult Sabbath school which is studying the book of Romans. Stop by and be blessed!
You are also invited to attend our community prayer time at The Place every Sabbath before Sabbath School starting at 9:45 a.m. If you would like to pray for our church or be prayed for, we invite you to come and share in this powerful time together.
We also invite you to continue your faithful giving. We appreciate your support so much. You may return your tithes and offerings. God bless.

Small Groups & Adventure Groups
The last two weeks we had a great response in signing up for small groups and adventure groups. Many of those groups will be starting very soon. We encourage you to sign up for a small group and/or adventure group if you have not already done so. Some of the new groups will be forming in Moorpark, Woodland Hills and in Ventura, as well as the new youth and young adult small groups hosted by Pastor Steve and Daisy. This is a great way to get connected in a spiritual group and to join others who enjoy doing the things you do.
And, for those of you who are interested in discovering your place at The Place, Elder Bill Werner's adventure group will begin this Sabbath at 10:15 in the Sabbath School wing. Bill's group will be studying about finding your spiritual gifts. It is a 6 week adventure!
If you are interested in leading out or starting something new, please contact Pastor Simon at 805-498-2300. Don't miss out on these great opportunities for fellowship and sharing your faith with others.
And, for those who like their kicks, don't forget that we have indoor soccer now EVERY Sunday at 8:00 p.m.at the NPAA gym.
Relay For Life-October 13th & Help For Needy Family
The Relay for life event will be held on Saturday, October 13th. If you are interested in participating, please sign up this coming Sabbath as it will be the last Sabbath to do so, the walk is the following Sabbath. This year our Relay for Life team is proud to announce we will be walking to honor Erik Kalberg! We're excited for this opportunity to show our support of Erik in his fight. As of Tuesday we have 17 members on our Relay For Life team but there's always room for more. If you or someone you know from The Place has been thinking of becoming a team member, register online at www.theplacechurch.com in the blog section or talk with Kevin Emmerson THIS SABBATH! If you're interested in getting involved with the prayer outreach team for Relay, please contact Rachelle LeMond. The prayer team will be praying for anyone with prayer requests during this time! It will be a cool ministry. The Relay begins October 13 at 10am and finishes 24 hours later. We hope to see you there!
There is a needy family right in our church community. Due to astronomical medical bills, this family is in need of pretty much everything, from food to gas cards, clothes, etc. If you would like to donate food, money, gas cards, or anything else, please contact Pastor Simon at 805-498-2300.
