The Scoop at the Place - March 13th, 2008
This Week At The Place/Financial UpdateWe look forward to worshiping with you this coming Sabbath. This Sabbath Pastor Simon will be preaching at The Place. Pastor Simon will continue his series on Joseph. This week's sermon is titled "How To Be A Brother" and is about the story of Joseph found in Genesis chapter 43-44. This week Chad Reisser will be leading praise and worship and there will be special music by Greg & Meg Quilop as well as special music by Matt Fowler.
We invite you to Sabbath School this week. We have children's Sabbath Schools for all ages, including our cradle roll, kindergarten, primary, junior/earliteen, and youth Sabbath school classes that meet at 10:30 a.m. Elder Rob Randall will be leading the adult Sabbath school which is studying the book of Romans. Stop by and be blessed!
You are also invited to attend our community prayer time at The Place every Sabbath before Sabbath School starting at 9:45 a.m. If you would like to pray for our church and our community or if you would like to be prayed for, we invite you to come and share in this powerful time together.
And, we invite you to support the ministry of The Place financially. During February we received $13,304 in tithe and $7,424 towards our church budget. This gives us $21,472 in tithe for the year, and $16,436 towards our church budget and our Associate Pastor. Since our monthly local budget is about $16,000 per month, you can see that we need help in our local church budget. You may return your tithes and offering donations online to The Place by clicking on the link (or, of course, at The Place.) Thanks so much for your support! God bless.
