The Scoop at The Place - April 3, 2008
This Week At The PlaceWe look forward to seeing you this coming Sabbath. This Sabbath Pastor Simon will be preaching over the story of Joseph. This week's sermon is titled "Who's Your Daddy?" and focuses on Genesis 46. This week the CAES choirs will be blessing us with music. Chad Reisser is leading praise and worship time.
We invite you to attend Sabbath School this week. We have children's Sabbath Schools for all ages, including our cradle roll, kindergarten, primary, junior/earliteen, and youth Sabbath school classes that meet at 10:30 a.m. Elder Rob Randall will be leading the adult Sabbath school which is studying the book of Romans. Stop by and be blessed!
You are also invited to attend our community prayer time at The Place every Sabbath before Sabbath School starting at 9:45 a.m. If you would like to pray for our church and our community or if you would like to be prayed for, we invite you to come and share in this powerful time together.
And, we invite you to support the ministry of The Place financially. You may return your tithes and offering donations online to The Place by clicking on the link (or, of course, at The Place.) Thanks so much for your support! God bless.

Get Involved
The Place is starting its annual nominating committee process. Even though it doesn't sound like the most fun thing around, it is actually a pretty cool thing as we attempt to give everyone an opportunity to be involved in ministry at The Place. This ministry can take many forms...from small groups to leading bible studies; from setting up chairs to preparing food for our cafe; and from helping with audio-visual to teaching Sabbath School. Whatever you are interested in, there is a place for you! This Sabbath we will have ministry interest sheets for you to fill to indicate areas of ministry you are interested in...or you would like training in. We are the body of Christ and we need all the parts to work well together. Get involved!
