The Scoop at The Place - July 24, 2008

This Week At The Place
We look forward to seeing you this coming Sabbath at The Place. Pastor Simon will continue his series on a summer fling with Jesus. This week's sermon is titled "Meet The Parents" and focuses on Luke 8:1-21. Dean Palacio is leading worship and there will be special music by Khari Washington and one by Shearin Matute. We invite you to stay after church services as our cafe will be open with refreshments and snacks.

We also invite you to Sabbath school starting at 10:30 a.m. We have several classes ranging from cradle roll class to adult classes. We have something for everyone! We hope you’ll stop by and be blessed.

Our prayer committee meets every Sabbath morning starting at 9:45 a.m. to pray for individual as well as community needs. If you are interested, please join us this Sabbath.

And, your tithes and offerings are always a blessing. We thank you for your faithfulness in giving. You can return your tithes and offerings at The Place, on-line at www.theplacechurch.com or by clicking on the link provided.

Chile Mission Trip
Our Chile Mission is fast approaching, a group of volunteers will be leaving on Wednesday evening, August 6th for Santiago Chile where they will be building a church outside the village of San Felipe, half an hour north of Santiago. Please pray for all those participating in this wonderful cause. And, we are still selling raffle tickets for the many great prizes that have been donated! We will have drawings next Sabbath, August 2. We will also be having a special dedication Sabbath that day. We hope you can be a part of it.
