Simon Liversidge, Senior Pastor

Pastor Simon was born in Australia and grew up in a missionary family in New Guinea. He moved with his family to the United States, and graduated from Shenandoah Valley Academy in Virginia. He graduated from Andrews University with a B.A. in Psychology and French, and then obtained a J. D. from UCLA school of Law in 1992. He practiced as an attorney doing corporate litigation for three years before entering the ministry. He completed his Master of Divinity degree from the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University. Simon then served as an Associate Pastor at Norwalk Seventh-day Adventist Church, where he was also involved in a church plant in West Los Angeles. Pastor Liversidge was ordained on September 14, 2002. He and Cecilia were married on October 13, 2002 at the Eagle Rock Church. Their son, Liam, was born in 2004 and their beautiful daughter, Mia, was born January 2007.

John Lubke, Youth Pastor

Pastor John is a 2011 graduate from Walla Walla University, where he received his BA in Theology and English.  He worked as the Coordinator of The Awakening at WWU for two years, where he enjoyed doing full-on collegiate ministry in a contemporary style worship setting.  He was born in Sacramento, but grew up in Texas, Alaska, and Germany.  And while he spent the last several years in school in Washington and loves the Northwest, John is super stoked about the move to beautiful Newbury Park.  John and his wife Melissa eloped in secret on August 5th, 2010, but only recently had their wedding celebration on June 11th, 2011.  Ask them about their story, they love to tell it.  John enjoys all kinds of outdoor sports, both in mountains and in the water, and has a particular passion for music.  Beyond all that, John is a people person and loves to interact, and feels strongly about his call to lively, passionate, practical, and progressive ministry, especially with youth.

Worship Leaders

Randall Goulard

Randall has been leading worship since he was 14.  Nothing gives him greater joy!  He graduated from Pacific Union College ('05) with a business degree but finds true fulfillment in using his talents to serve the church.  He has led worship in youth, college, contemporary and traditional settings all over the country, always with his unique style.  Being from "the city" he enjoys the more relaxed pace of the Conejo Valley.  His philosophy of worship is simple...God reveals, we respond! In addition to worship Randall also leads our Young Adult Ministry.

Dean Palacio

Dean began playing guitar at the young age of 9. He's self-taught and for over 20 years, he's been playing guitar professionally. After Dean committed his life to the Lord in the early 90's, his focus became using his gift for serving God.  He's dedicated the better part of 15 years worshiping the Lord in music. He served as worship leader at Blessed Hope Chapel in Simi Valley, California for 8 years. Dean also dedicates his gift to to rising up new worship leaders and guitarists by teaching kids, youth and adults that they can learn to play guitar and use it for the Lord's glory.  Dean runs a website for learning worship guitar at learnworshipguitar.com.
