get a tax deductible receipt for your tithes and offerings for 2011.
Any gifts must be mailed by December 31st. You may choose also to give
on-line at www.theplacechurch.com or at The Place. Any gift you can give is greatly appreciated!

to worship.

Happy New Year - Plans for 2012!
At
The Place, we would like to designate 2012 as the year of the FAMILY.
This does NOT mean you will be left out if you are single! What it does
mean is that in 2012 we will be focusing on our spiritual growth of
knowing what it means to be a child of God and part of the family of
God. We will also be growing in hearing the voice of God our Father as
he speaks to us.
As a church family, we want to help families, beginning a
new ministry for couples and a new parents group. We will also focus on
giving each family/member at The Place an opportunity to share a
testimony and a special music, drama, reading, etc. We want families to
be involved! We invite you and your
family to get involved in 2012! There is so much already going on...but,
much more to come by the grace of God. If you have ideas or would like
to lead out or participate, let's talk!
Adventure/Small Groups
We
will be starting new adventure groups and small groups the week of
January 7-14. Are you are interested in hosting, leading, or just have
an idea for a small group or adventure group in our community? We have
many different adventure groups which include indoor soccer; kids
soccer; football; volleyball; couples ministry; parents ministry;
various small groups (three with kids - Newbury Park, Camarillo and in
Simi Valley); youth; 2 young adults; and several weekly small groups as
well. For more information, please contact Pastor John.
New Member/Spiritual Gifts Orientation
If
you are not involved in ministry now, we invite you to get involved! We
are going to be having regular meetings for new members or anyone
looking to find their spiritual gifts at Starbucks on Sabbath mornings.
Bill Werner will lead out twice a month from at 9:30 a.m. - 11:15 am.
The first meeting will take place on January 28th. If you are interested
in becoming a member at The Place and/or involved in ministry, we
invite you to sign up. We are inviting all those not currently involved
to check it out!
Baptism & Potluck Next Sabbath
Everyone
is invited to the baptism of Natalie Figueroa next Sabbath, January 7th
after church. Natalie Figueroa will be baptized at the Bachmann's house
in Westlake Village. There will also be a fellowship potluck lunch
there. Come and bring a dish to share and welcome Natalie into our
church family.
Guys Night Out
All
the men are invited to come out on Wednesday night, January 11th. The
men will meet at Sunil's house in Camarillo (1451 Menta Lane) at 6:30
p.m. for sports and dinner.
